Creating a strong 5 paragraph essay in 30 minutes
Writing a 5 paragraph essay can be really easy to do. The structure is so simple that it makes for a good essay to write fast. You start with an introduction that tells the reader what the essay is about. Next are the three body paragraphs. This is where you use facts and other information to back up your point, prove something, or complete whatever task the essay is meant for. That information is very important and it should be three points, one per paragraph. Then there is the conclusion. This is where you sum up your point and reiterate the goal of your topic. It may sound like a lot but it can be done within a 30 minute period.
- Do your research
- Have a good outline
- Stay focused
Do your research
If you have all of your research completed before you even start writing then you are half way done already. Research is a very important part of the process so make sure that you do it thoroughly and that you know it all well. The more research you do on the topic beforehand the quicker the essay will go.
Have a good outline
A good outline is possibly the most important step in writing anything. Most people think of it as a waste of time and just skip it. Creating an outline can be of great benefit to you. Having all of the research and information in one place makes writing an essay easier than you thought possible. If you do it correctly then you have a step by step guide for what to write. You know what ideas go in what paragraphs and how the essay flows from one thought to the next. This is a great asset to you to write quickly with just a glance at a good outline.
Once you start writing you have to stay the course. Once you begin you should keep writing until you finish. If you go all the way through start to finish than it will go much faster than with breaks. You won’t lose your train of thought and best of all, the outline will keep you on the right track every step of the way. Writing with an outline and no breaks makes for a quick writing experience. The more focus you have, the better it will go and the faster you can work on it and be done with it.
